The Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana is proud to announce the recipients of its 2020 Coastal Stewardship Awards. The winners will be honored at a gala next month. This marks the 25th year for CRCL’s Coastal Stewardship Awards, which honor individuals and organizations that demonstrate outstanding commitment to the coast and have made significant contributions to the conservation and restoration of Louisiana’s coastal wetlands.

The Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana has postponed its State of the Coast conference, which had been scheduled for May of this year, until 2021 because of concerns surrounding COVID-19. The premier gathering for coastal restoration in Louisiana will take place June 2 to 4, 2021. The conference will be at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in downtown New Orleans, as previously planned.
Registration for the 2020 conference will be honored for next year’s gathering. The program will be reviewed and reconsidered in the coming months to ensure timely content and to include discussion of how the coronavirus pandemic may affect our climate and coastal restoration. Further developments about State of the Coast 2021 will be sent via email and posted on the conference website.
